I have never seen a request for a face picture. E-transfer ok, as long as it's a reputable SP with lots of history to go on. But a face picture...I don't care who is on the receiving side and how many glowing reviews they've got, I'd lop junior off before sending one. In fact, I would have thought they'd ask for dick pics before face pics.
