Industry Thriving ??

I haven't been very active in the hobby over the last while. But I've checked out a few websites, and PERB, and the other board and I'm struck that things are slowing down. There seems to be fewer reviews and less new talent. Is it me or have others noticed the same trend?

Any thoughts ?

Using the track as a tax right off you can easily see by this chart that between the years of 1999 and 2003 my pooning expenses that I had written off as Accrued net income of farm operators from farm production have fallen slightly. 4th quarter results of my "Accrued net income of farm operators from farm production" (aka: pimping income) are not in yet but a decline is expected. I think there's a lot of reasons why it might appear that the industry is slowing down, at least from a PERB perspective...

1.) Reluctance of newbies to post reviews because they don't want to get flamed.

2.) Reluctance of PERBerts to post reviews of micros.

3.) Probably a slow time of year because people needed to budget for Christmas presents or pay off Christmas bills.

4.) Some bastards want to keep the gems to themselves...

I think the ladies would have the best perspective of whether or not the industry is slowing down. How 'bout it ladies, business slowing down?

Nope, it's busier than ever!

But January is the busiest month of the year, at least until the credit card bills documenting Xmas spending arrive! It dies down in February and picks up in March for the rest of the year.

There's no letup...people just don't want to share the gems as pointed out above!

I'm guilty of this, but the 3 I did not share have either vanished or have happily made a smooth transition to civilian life (now they're respectable....I sure wish I were, too )
