Hi All,

I'm just hammering out the final details of my tour to Alberta and I hit a wall; I have no idea where to stay. Is there a good/central location for an incall? Or are the cities small enough that it doesn't really matter what neighborhood I stay in? Any and all help from the ladies and gents alike would be greatly appreciated.

xo,

Nia

Well Nia, I don't know what part of Canada you live in, or maybe you live in a different country.

Calgary and Edmonton are hardly what one would describe as small cites - and it will matter what neighborhood you stay in.

Just for your info ---- Calgary is Canada's 4th. largest city in population, just over one million, and Edmonton is the 6th. largest city with around 720,000.

When it comes to hotels.. u have to be careful & very diligent with which ones you pick... as those cities are not as SP friendly as Vancouver.

That being said... Calgary - Stay Downtown
Edmonton - Either downtown or on the southside.

Also if you've never been to ft Mac before I don't recommend going alone. It's one of the most dangerous cities I've been to, it's on par with Prince Albert but not quite as bad as Williston.

Alberta is a market I know well and there's good reason I'm not there now :/ the oil crash only doubled down on my reason too.

I do miss one particular town, fond personal memories were made there.
AGREED!

I used to live in Calgary AND Edmonton & mainly did all my touring out there dating back from 2009.

Fort McMurray is a scary place to go alone, there is maybe ONE good hotel that doesnt have key lock elevator... the other REALLy nice place in town is locked, but the front desk is on the 2nd floor... so its not that bad.

My suggestions would be to either check out www.airbnb.com or to get a weekly rental place. I am SUPER discrete & the last time i stayed in a hotel in Calgary, i got kicked out after 1 day.. i had only maybe seen 2 clients the first night which were multi hour appts... i am SUPERRRRRR discrete when I work, thus never having any problems in Edmonton... but i do know gf's that have been kicked out of hotels in Edmonton & the hotel transfers their information to all the other hotels & they wont let you book.

Thanks for all your input...but just to clarify.

Wow! That was informative and cautionary. I didn't realize Fort Mac was so dangerous, thanks for the heads up. I am traveling with a lovely friend and we are looking at short term condo and apartment rentals because of all the horror stories we've heard about AB hotels and the key card issue.

We already have a shortlist of favourites. However, the problem is that our top picks are not inside the little red border outlining the downtown core and yet they advertise as downtown or central. That prompted me to map Toronto and I noticed that much of what us locals would consider downtown Toronto is not within the border outlined on the maps. So I thought maybe the same was true of other cities.

What I should have asked was, “Do you have an incall radius or incall border? What streets will you not go north, south, east or west of? Or are there neighbourhoods that are deal breakers in choosing an incall location or seeing a lady?”

I hope that clears everything up. Definitely PM me if you are discussing specifics or sensitive information.

I have never been to Fort Mac, but would recommend down town for both Calgary and Edmonton.

Westside of Edmonton can also be a good location - if you cater to longer liaisons. For some odd reason, downtown seems to attract shorter (2/3 hour liaisons) and the West side seems to attract more of the 4+ hour meetings.

If you tend to do a lot of out calls, then I think down town is probably the best bet.

I would also suggest adding a day or two near the airport. Both cities have gentlemen that travel a lot, and many are looking for some relaxation right before they head out of town or return.

A friend who works in the health field, informed me that Fort Mac has the highest rate for syphilis, herpes and gonorrhea !!! http://www.fortmcmurraytoday.com/2012/01/30/oilsands-workers-high-risk-for-stis-report
