It is legal to offer sex for money. It is illegal to offer money for sex. If you are into the Streetwalker scene, you have to like risk because the police can and do put female officers on the street to see who is dumb enough to offer money for sex.

If you are dealing with an Agency or an Independent SP, they wouldn't get many repeat customers if they operated in a manner where the police were arresting their clients all of the time. Quiet customers of SPs that are quietly integrated into their neighborhood aren't who the police go after.

Thanks sdw and badbadboy. This gives some relief. I did check that thread before posting which is mostly media coverage, which I have already watched and read. It was all grey area, that's why to ask fellow members here for a clear answer as per their own individual experience been living here.
I found one article on reddit which says you could call an escort agency and still its a grey area. They say do not mention prices or sex over the phone.

Any more answers would be appreciable.

One thing to keep in mind - escorts do not sell sex - prostitutes do. Escorts sell time for companionship. There is nothing illegal about purchasing an hour of the escorts time (this is why some cities require escorts/agencies to purchase a licence). As long as you are not asking for services of a prostitute - you keep your discussion about this strictly to escort services - you will be fine. Good luck!

That's a balanced view of the reality. But as I know living here for the past year and also reading member posts on this website, in general, if you are a gentleman then there are very acute chances of a trouble, I beleive. I may be wrong as I have never hired an escort and that's the reason I wanted to get as much information/caution before experiencing.
