iMPARK

Hey there everyone, hope you can helpwith some information.

How hard is it to fight a ticket through Impark???

Got a letter in the mail on Friday that stated I did not pay for parking back in June in Vancouver. I was not in Vancouver that day. Unfortunately, I was not working that day ( I do swing shifts), so I cannot even prove that I was at work.

There offices are closed until Tuesday, so I am wondering if any of you have had experience with this kind of thing.

Thanks

Just ignore it.

I've gotten perhaps over 15 tickets from iMPARK since 1999.

Never paid.

I say don't ignore it. Call them and explain your situation. They may have made a mistake on the licence number. I've found them to be very reasonable and always seem to give the benefit of the doubt to the customer. If you don't have a record for parking violations they will cancel the ticket.

I agree with CT don't ignore it. Call them and say that the ticket is unwarrented. Perhaps the ticket has fallen off the dash. It happened to me, when I called Impark the lady said they will always wave one charge. The next you will have to fight.

I've successfully fought two IMPARK tickets. You have to do it in writing, though, not by phone. If you hear nothing back from them (keep a photocopy of your letter and the ticket), you can safely assume the charge has been waived. Their address is on their website. Good luck!

I know someone who successfully fought it. Apparently if it's the first time, it's really easy, and they'll "warn" you not to let it happen again.

Tell them that this incident has made you never want to use their service in the future. They'll try to make you happy. It's more important to keep a life long customer than to get money from a single ticket.

Good luck :)

Send 'em a letter by mail or fax, preferably typed, with a copy of the ticket, and an expanation of what the vehicle looks like, licence # etc, and any supporting evidence that you weren't there. Worked for me.

Best not to ignore them. Send them a written explanation, keep a copy. If you ignore them, they may tow you one day when you least expect it.

Thankgs again

Thanks again for all the advice on here.

I called them this morning and after about 5 minutes on hold with interesting music, finally got a rep. Told him I live in Victoria, and he cancelled the ticket, just that fast.

If this had been Robbins here in Vic, I would have needed a signed affidavit, saying that I was in Timbuktu.

Thanks
