I'm uninstalling GirlFriend 17.0 on my laptop today (it's my only computer).
As usual when I first install any version of these programs, they work great. Not only that, all my other programs work great too and the computer seems to run more responsively.
But this version of GirlFriend was unlike any other. It installed malwares of different types: JewelryAcquisition Pro 1.1, ShoeCloset Enterprise Edition 5.0, Makeup Caselot Depot Maximum 3.0, and HorribleVeganFood Beta 0.1.
I actually had second thoughts before installing GirlFriend 17.0 a few years ago, because this one came with bright yellow advertising label shaped like a star on the front of it saying "Most Popular GirlFriend of 2009! 1.3 Million Installs!". Well the cover looked really great I had to admit. Luckily it had a really cheap introductory price of only $100.00 and was supposed to be a money-refundable trial. When my 14 day trial period was over, I tried to decline the purchase but it automatically charged my credit card! The license is $2000.00 per month!!
It came with companion program StupidPetPoodle 1.0, which was supposed to be an optional install. More on that later.
Anyways it also installed companion program FreeSex 6.9 (but I had to uninstall ProfessionalSex 1.0 because it wasn't compatible) which was really fantastic, except it also installed PayForDinner 1.1 and NewHandBag 1.2 and FalseLashes 2.0, all of which required constant renewals. So it wasn't free after all, whereas ProfessionalSex 1.0 charged me on a per-use basis only. I think overall ProfessionalSex 1.0 was about 1/10th the overall cost. I wouldn't recommend FreeSex 6.9 to anyone.
The StupidPetPoodle 1.0 had to be installed after all because FreeSex 6.9 kept saying that it wouldn't operate as the full version without it. I didn't know why that was, but I installed it anyway and it turned out not so bad but I had to turn down the volume whenever it woke up to do something.
After 9 months, it gave me the option to upgrade to Wife 1.0, offering a reduced license fee of $500.00 per month but required a sizable deposit and credit check. It offered some benefits, like HouseCleaning Beta 0.5, HorribleVeganFoodCook 1.0, and other interesting programs, but it wasn't compatible with NewSportsCar 2.0, SteakForDinner 5.0, all computer games, ExGirlFriendSweater 1.0, PornoDownloader 20.3, etc. I gave it some thought, but hit the decline button and that's when my computer started acting like it had a virus.
In fact, it installed a Trojan when I was at work one day with my laptop - I was really busy trying to make a spreadsheet work when I kept getting these alerts from GirlFriend 17.0, "We need to talk about X, Accept or Remind Me Later". I hit the Remind. Then almost right away, another popup, "We need to talk about Y, Accept or Remind Me Later". I hit Remind again. This happened like 2 more times then suddenly GirlFriend 17.0 popped up on my screen and said, "Installing Bitch 1.0 Enterprise Professional Now! Do not turn off computer to avoid corrupting your operating system. When finished, hit "ACCEPT" and your computer will reboot. Welcome to Bitch 1.0!"
Well I didn't know what I was in for. I let it run because GirlFriend 17.0 kept me very busy but eventually it used up all my disk space and my RAM and all my CPU power. My laptop began to overheat and the power supply eventually broke and I had to get it replaced. One day my screen even blacked out. After a couple years of that, it tried to install Need-a-Baby-Now 1.0 but it's system requirements were: installing Buy-a-New-House 1.2, MiniVan 1.0, Marriage 1.0 and uninstalling Lingerie 6.9, BlowJob 6.9, AnalSex 6.9, SexyOutfits 2.0. Not only that, I had to uninstall FreeSex 6.9 because it wasn't compatible, but it did offer FreeSex Limited Edition 1.0 as a replacement with the same license fees. No thanks, talk about bad marketing.
Sad to say GirlFriend 17.0 didn't work out. It was the best performing of the GirlFriend series so far, but it also had a lot of backdoors and unadvertised things about it. I swear it was also connecting to other computers from time to time, but it was hard to track that down as it always seemed to be actively doing something when I didn't have it in front of me. That was the last straw for me, you never know what virus is going to infect your computer in that kind of situation.
* inspired by something similar I read on the internet today, quite a coincidence because it lines up with what's really going on with me.
