Because some might do that, and write about it, does not mean that all do that. Being an escort is no different from any other job. If you are a plumber, do you constantly fret about doing small jobs for friends after retirement, or refuse because you wont be paid? Why do you think that SPs are somehow different from everyone else?
I didn't say all, but I can tell you it happens. Using your own example of a plumber (interesting metaphorical choice by the way), there are plumbers who will only work on billable hours. They exists.

Again, paying money to be stuck in the friend zone still seems like a cruel and unusual form of self punishment. It probably has something with me still having a sex drive though.
If you're being ignored and unsuccessful with women already, why would you start forking over hard earned money to get the same result?

I'm still of the belief that every guy pays for sex one way or another. It might be in actual cash, it might be in stuff, it might be time spent doing stuff he otherwise would not do. Girls control sex in this world there is no question about that. So I guess if a girl is hot enough and a guy(s) want to sleep with her bad enough they will pay to date or be her friend in the usually mistaken belief at some point they'll see what a swell guy he is and fall in love with him.. or at least lust a couple of times :)

I think once we come to accept we have no control over when or how often our penis gets put to use, the easier life is. <------ only partly tongue in cheek hahaha
