Illegal to do duos

I was inquiring with a reputable SP about setting up a duo and she replied that she doesn't do them, because Bawdy house charges could be layed against her. Didn't know there was such a law, considering I've seen a few duo ad's on BP, does this just apply if your offering duo's out of your residence

If I am not comfortable hosting duos from a residence due to certain sanctions of the criminal code, then that is my choice. I should not be told to get over myself. There are many lovely ladies who do offer duos, feel free to contact them.

I never said incall was illegal, kindly do not put words in my mouth.

There are multiple factors that have left me unwilling to provide this service. Most them involve the lack of discretion I have received in my time as an indie. There is no need to be rude or disrespectful to me for not providing a service. It is my choice.

I can understand Emily's position.

An overzealous cop could easily over-interpret the Code and bring a charge. It may or may not stand-up in court, it's in the hands of lawyers and judges then, and the view will be at least a little more balanced than the tilted one of LE. Who needs the hassle of a bawdy-house charge, even if it is unwarranted? Yes, there are other things over-zealous LE could do to a SP besides a bawdy-house charge, but this is the level of risk management a lady may have decided to exercise and it has to be accepted.

This summer, I think LE is concentrating on beating up Winnipeg citizens over moving violations instead, the city need about 78 million and this approach is way more efficient and lucrative.

That's okay Emily I see where your coming from, It did come off as condescending rather than informative. sometimes its easier to just say no. we don't half to actually give a reason. . But I think its a good topic, Ive always wondered if anyone has every encountered such a charge?
