If you had to move away from Van, where would you go?

move to the Okanagon where there are no jobs and the ones they do have you have to deal with the "sunshine tax" ie. wages that are 50% of the wages you are use to. A buddy moved to Vancouver from there and so far calculated just in insurance and bridge tolls Vancouver is costing him $10 000 in extra expenses! As far as cities go you can't beat Montreal and Quebec City for really active cities. If you can live with cold winters they you are fine. From there on it all depends on you. Not everyone is suited for Island life or the East coast style.

With the high cost of living here, and some of the other factors, what other places would you go to?

As much as I can complain about Vancouver, it does have the best weather in Canada. But the cost of living would be alot more manageable elsewhere. So where else is there?
Okanogan for sure. Penticton maybe. Some where out there. I learned how to swim in those lake when I was just a couple years old. I've been going back every summer, several times my whole life since I was born. I feel like I'm home out there :)

Plus out there isn't too far of a drive to come back and see my mom. I think she would be too sad if any of us ( children ) moved far away. For her sake I'd never venture off too far from vancouver.

I would move to Vancouver. I came here for a reason. Best place in the world and I'm not leaving unless I have to :)

Don't underestimate the powerful effects of manure.....That shit grows half your food.
Always remember to wash that carrot, before inserting it in your mouth.
