If you do not have anything to do on Sundays ... here are couple of ideas
(hope it is OK with the mods to advertise this)

Granville Island
outdoor stage at the Mound ( east end ) (in case of rain, there is a cover too )
2pm
July 17
Grupo America - folk dances of the Americas
- I know number of people from this group... one can expect a lot of good dancing. Had seen some of them dancing Salsa ..... I had to remember to breathe.

July 24
Forras Folk Ensemble ( and band ) - Hungarian dance
- I hope to see a fiery chardash

August 7
Footedge Dance Company - Indian dance
- don't have any "intel" on them

August 14
The Outriggers Dances and Band - Polynesian dance
- somebody told me they are good

August 21
Venus Bellydance and Friends - Middle Eastern Dance
- I seen Venus number of times, and recently with a large show. She is very good.... but some of her students are even better (IMHO). Not sure if they will show a repeat of what I had seen recently, but there are two students who have solo shows .... they are good... really good. One looks like a sister of Gina Lee ... LOL

Thats all folks

Thanks for the heads up Vancouverman. It might make for an interesting visit to Granville Island, especially the belly dancing!

I did talk to leader of Grupo America today.... he said... it will be worth the time to come and see them dancing this Sunday. He is one of the best latin dance teachers in Vancouver.

not sure about you, but I did enjoy show this Sunday.
weather was even too good, as the stage got so hot and burned feets of some performers.
Show was fun, fast, and show dances from different regions of Americas.
