If I wanted to find a good home for my pets. A 17 month old puppy and a 4 year old cat that likes to go outdoors. I'm curious more than anything else.

I admit I have good days and bad, and today was a bad day.

But I want to know that my pest can have a good home no matter what. I maybe just tired of being a pet owner after 20 years and don't want the responsibility anymore. Or I don't feel like I can give them a good home because I am too angry and I lash out. Or ...well I don't know

And I am done with suicide lines and hospitals they haven't helped me, and they won't the damage is too great.

That's pretty disgusting and insensitive considering the context of the thread. Go crawl back from under the rock you came from

Geek, please give your loved ones and the people that care about you another chance to help you. They deserve the chance to help you and you deserve a chance to be helped

I think this is an intelligent thing to consider. You would be surprised how many people do not think of their pets when they make extreme decisions for themselves.

We looked after a ladies cat in such a circumstance and I can only suppose she was too depressed to think of what would happen when there was no one there to feed this cat.

We found the cat very thin and hungry locked in the garage.

Geek, animals become very attached to their owners regardless of the owner's idiosyncrasies. They will miss you if you find a new home for them.

There are animal shelters that will take them. It helps if you give detailed info on their needs and personalities so a new owner can make the right decision.

Just phone around.

I want to make sure if anything happens that my pets will be taken care of. When my first cat died last year I didn't know what to do, and I regret not having her cremated. When my 2nd cat died I had him cremated but I needed help to do it. In a sense he was cremated for both of them.

There are a lot of reasons why I might want to find my pets a new home. I could lose my job, and have to live out of my car (more likely than you may think), and not be able to care for them properly. I could get hit by a bus. Or I could feel that I am not a good pet owner and that is what I felt yesterday.

My first cat i got when i was on welfare, there were days when I had only enough money to be either cat food or me food, my cat came first, I know how to make to make pets and hardship work. I care for my pets and I want them to have a happy life and that may not be with me and it goes with out saying that these would be my last pets.

As for suicide, i never said anything about it. I am certainly not going to do say anything about it on a public board.
