Another question:

Is there a way that I can transfer what is on my Ipod to my Itunes?
I am not a my regular PC right now, and I will be unable to get back to it for a bit.

I have installed Itunes on my laptop and I was looking to transfer my Ipod to Itunes. Is this possible?

I don't want to plug it in because the last time I tried to do this when I was away, I lost all of my Ipod tunes to the the fresh Itunes install. Went from 990 songs to 3.

Thanks in advance.

I use a program called copypod. It allows you to make a back-up of your I-pod, including playlists, etc. You can copy them straight into I-tunes or you can back-up to a folder on your hard drive. http://www.copypod.net/

the reason why it botched is because it's not meant to be done. Certainley not poking around in the ipod hidden files when all you've done is simply mounted the ipod as a hard drive. You have to use a application to do this.

I wish I had known this before. I don't like the way the Itunes help is set up and this was an excellent link and I did get what I wanted.

I ended up buying like 10 CD's to make up for the loss when I was in Portland.

Thanks Hitrack. I learn something new evreyday!

That's good too.

Although, I have transferred all of my data from PC to laptop, so there is no need.

I was also in a jam this week, and had to stop for a cable to connect it. Found a kit with a car adapter, and an adapter for the wall with no need to plug into the PC at all.

Very good tools.

Saved the link anyways, because you never know.:D

Thanks T-Rex!
