Speaking of which, I just heard that Highway 2 between E-town and Cowtown is going to be named the "Queen Elizabeth II" highway. Hmmm...OK then, but we're still in the process of warming up to the notion of calling Highway 16 a Trans-Canada Highway instead of the Yellowhead.
Who cares about the Queen?
C'mon ... cut the ties to England already, what's she done for us lately? How much money do we put out whenever she decides to visit. I've heard this visit alone will total $10 million.
Imagine what you could do with that money instead of her!

I have to agree with Marshall there. I never saw what the use of the Royal Family was. To me, they are just a big family with a huge fortune and multiple soap operas going on.
Personally I like Royalty the French way... beheaded...
No wonder Quebecers want to separate... how would you feel if you had to pledge alliance to some pompous dude in France to become Canadian instead of swearing to the Queen?
But to get back on the weather topic Wolverine brought up… I agree… we do get crappy weather more than often during special functions… I think it is mostly due to the fact we have so many
but to read Hornydude slam Edmontchuk’s weather and being from Surrey BC is laughable… Ya… Surrey is renowned for it sunny-year-round weather…
As for the new highway name… I can just imagine people now saying: Are you going down on the Queen E?
…and Wolvie... as for the Yellow-Head… I’d get a doctor to look at that…
