Hey all I just had to share with everyone as I am so excited, today I went and did my road test for my motorcycle class 6 and passed, yup Jenn is 100% legal to tear up the streets on my Yamaharley scooter now...wooohoooo!

I just have no desire to learn to use a clutch. But I'm not alone as a lot of manufacturers are starting to make auto's.
Thats one of the first things I picked up on. I drive 10X more defensive on the scooter than in the car. For some reason, 2 wheels make you invisable. People cut right in front of ya all the time.
I never understood the whole motorcycle thing. Listening to cyclists talk about the feeling and the freedom. It sure feels awesome to be cruising down the road on 2 wheels as opposed to 4... I think I'm getting 2 wheel fever. And with my newest scooter I can do 140 - 160km. Not that I am crazy enough to. Can you just see me doing 160km on this? I'd be dead!
my immediate worry would be the small wheel supporting your bike at high speed. your new toy looks awesome however so 'yes in fact' i can see you ripping through a long straight stretch of road at that speed.
you are so right. a car driver could be looking right at you and still not see you. driving defensive is a good thing.

I got it to 130km the other day and backed it off. That was plenty enough for me. LOL
I'm not much of a thrill seaker when it comes to high speeds, but it's nice to know it's there. The tires are 13' rear, and 14' front. What's the average motorcycle tire?
Now I need to find somebody who can swap the variator over http://www.mrp-speed.com/store/product.php?productid=26900. I was told that an aftermarket variator will give me better pickup speed.
Congrats! Nice scooter (for a scooter, I'm a bike man myself). Gotta say though, those scooters are getting better and better. Anyhow, ride safe... always wear pants (don't you dare ride in skirt or shorts). Always wear a helmet. Be safe!

These scooters are the same year and model as mine. They look sooooo cool. A body kit and some mods like exhaust, variator swap, a little chrome, and they look pretty darn cool. i hope to have mine like these through the winter months.

Of the infamous LEFT TURN fuckkhead that can see you coming and still thinks he can beat you through the intersection. 1 broken femur a separated shoulder and a dash of road rash later I consider myself VERY lucky. In over thirty years of riding I have been to way to may funerals for the not so lucky ones.
Sorry for the fear shot but watch for them, after you get the first scare you will know what I'm talking about.

In Alberta you need a class 6. Even a class 5 driver who can drive a car has to get their class 6 to drive a motorcycle or scooter over 50cc. It's kinda dumb, a class 1 driver who can operate a Kenworth, car, pickup, and some heavy equipment, still needs to get a class 6 to operate a scooter or motorcycle.
