My tank gauge was showing E so i pulled into the nearest gas station (41st and Oak) that i could find. I proceeded to slip my CC into the slot. I pressed for the lowest grade they had without looking at the cost and proceeded to pump away. Pump away?:p

When the meter gauge shows $30 dollars i'm thinking that a couple of bucks more and that'll be it..........nope $35, $37 at $40 dollars i'm asking myself what the hell are they charging per liter of gas? SHIT $1.10!!! At $40 dollars the tank must be close to being full by now...right? So i contine pumping when it hits $45 dollars i said "thats it car your cut off." When i get inside the gauge is showing full so thats a relief. How much would it cost to fill the tank i wonder?

Sheesh thats expensive. I own a little 'buru. $45 dollars to fill your tank should be reserved for those who drive monster trucks or gas guzzling SUVs not small imports. Whats really going to erk me tomorrow is when is see gas @ .99 cents a liter or less. Oh well what are you gonna do?

Considering it appears like it could be totalled by running into a tricycle, a person actually COULD be caught dead in one of them. :D But when gasoline cracks the $2 per liter mark sometime in the not too distant future, these things will be all over the road, I'm sure.

Out Of Sight Prices

Kev, I do not wish to ruin your sleep tonight, but with 3.79 liters in each gallon, you paid over 4 bucks a gallon. :(

I filled up for 96.4 (with the 3.5 cent discount) at Petrocan in New West tonight. Guess I got a real bargain, doesn't look like the price is gonna drop much lower than that these days so when I saw it I jumped on it.

Lions stalk little Smart cars in English big game park

LONDON (AFP) - Lions at a safari park in the north of England are prowling after Smart cars, in the apparent belief that the boxy little two-seat European city cars are worthy prey.

Visitors to Knowsley Safari Park, outside Liverpool, have long been able to drive their vehicles within metres (yards) of the big cats -- but those in Smart cars have discovered that the lions are paying them particular interest.

"The lions are used to seeing saloons (sedans) and family cars on a daily basis, but they had never seen a Smart before," park manager David Ross said Tuesday.

"Because of the cars' small size and unusual looks, the lions were immediately interested and went to take a closer look."

"We won't be excluding Smarts from the park but we will monitor their progress and ensure that the lions don't take anything more than a passing interest."

Knowsley Safari Park is home to a variety of exotic animals including tigers, buffalo, baboons, camels, rhinos, elephants and giraffes.

A spokesman for Smart, a Mercedes-Benz brand, said the animal attraction was "very unusual".

I'm the king of whiners, usually, but can we really complain about a depleting source of energy going up in price? It's the free markt law of supply and demand. We're all (me included) too dependent on cars for just about everything. The explosion of sales of SUV's is a perfect example of needless vehicle sold to us, the gullible. Virtually everyone who buys an SUV cites thing like , "Ooh, I have to take the kids to hockey practice", or "I have two large dogs", or " I have lots of shopping to pick up". Dogs, groceries and kids fit into cars just like they always have, but an SUV says "look at ME" and "I can bully other drivers with my size". The fact they guzzle gas like nobody's business didn't seem to enter anyone's thoughts. Just because you can afford something, doesn't mean it's a good idea to own it. Kev, you're paying the high price for all the other people deciding they needed a status symbol to prop up their limp dicks. Now, let's stop complaining and get on with twinning the Port Mann Bridge so I can get my Hummer to Canucks games.

Get a diesel! At superstore gas bar it is still only 88.9 and gas is 1.02.9. They give a 7 cent / L rebate coupon for the store on top of that. Usually diesel is a lot cheaper in the summer and par with gas in the winter.
