what are you doing to lose weight and how long have you been doing it?
Some tips for weight loss:
1. eat breakfast ... the noun says it all ... you need to break the 8-10 hour fast your body has just been through. People who eat breakfast are healthier, live longer and lost weight!
2. exercise right: most people do aerobics -- good for the heart but not so great for weight loss -- reason? it only burns calories while you do it. stop exercising and stop burning calories.
you need to exercise to gain muscle mass: each total pound of muscle you gain will burn calories 24/7!!! which will help you lose weight and keep it off!
3. FAT!!! supplement with omega's ... particularly the omega 3's. it might seem contrary but the oils are necessary for good health and your body will not store fat as much if you have essential fats coming in with your diet.
4. Protein: too much is no good ... too little is no good ... but more important are protein-sparers -- wtf? right, these are amino acids that your body needs to be healthy and will burn muscle to get protein to get amino acids to make them.
L-glutamine ... used by your body for your immune system, brain function and digestive system ... will use up to 20 grams a day ... take as a supplement and spare your muscles (yes, this is why when you get sick your muscles get weak ... the body burns them to produce antibodies to make you healthy ... the compound that the body extracts from your muscle is L-glutamine.
5. Finally ... hydrate! drink water before anything gets into your mouth ... cup of coffee? drink 8 oz of water first ... muffin? same thing ...
