I am no longer able to view videos on my computer (and some SP websites) because it keeps telling me I need the newest FlashPlayer. I have tried 6 times to download it (it always says download complete) but it still won't let me do anything and I'M GETTING PISSED OFF. Can anybody help this poor old computer dummy? You need to be logged on as an administrator, then Download it from here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplatformruntimes.html If it offers you a "Run" option, click run, click yes when your computer asks if you want to run the installer.

If you get only a "Save" option, make note of where it is being saved and doubleclick it there after you have closed the browser
That's a possibility. You could also try to uninstall the program and then re-install.

Thx for the help guys, but I'm still lost. I'm just going to bring it to a computer shop and have them do it.

what browser are you using? I recently helped someone on Windows 7 who uses firefox and it would not load, tried download/install through Internet Explorer and it worked... also if you use Google Chrome you don't need to install flash... it's built in to the browser (what a novel concept)

could be many things blocking the install, anti-virus, admin privileges (which are more complicated in windows 7 world)

I have gotten to point where, if anyone ever tells me "Oh, that's EASY", I'm going to hit them. This Google Chrome thing seem to do it. I just have to figure out how to move my favourites there (I don't see a fabourites tab on Google Chrome) but I'll work on it.

Favourites are bookmarks in Chrome most often when you install it there is an option to import from your past browser and they put it in other bookmarks folder (top right corner)... send me a PM if you want help moving the old favourites to a new location. I know computers aren't easy for everyone... but technology usually listens to me :)
