I just watched this CBC Newsworld documentary on sex slavery

After watching this, I thought about giving up pooning again.

The Toronto strip club that was featured in the show looked a lot like the Brass Rail - which doesn't surprise me, given the number of Eastern European peelers that were working there when I checked it out.

And no matter what your opinion of the CBC is, you have to admit that their documentaries are still top-notch.

I agree, their documentaries are top notch. I'm watching it right now, and it leaves me with a sinking feeling

What's sad is that the authorities in those countries are unless to stop it...and in cases, condone it.

I do hope that most of the SPs we see and review here are in the business willingly.

I watched this documentary and was also impressed with CBC's presentation. Reflection about my pooning habits were triggered as I viewed the sad stories unfold. There is a cruel and insensitive character in some of my fellow human beings that I constantly find unsettling. Countries that were previously "impoverished" (obviously the former "East European Block" countries) seem to lead the pack. I guess the road from poverty to some form of comparative prosperity is difficult with little personal skill. Prostitution is one of the limited ways for unskilled young girls to gain some creature comforts and often to possibly support the equally impoverished family as a whole.

That fact that I had seen a new girl from CoverGirls just scant hours before the documentary aired, added to my unsettling feeling. The earlier comment about seeing providers "who were not being pimped and were truly independent" has always been a concern for me. (I have just noted that post has been deleted???) If I sensed there was a boyfriend/pimp/driver issue with a provider, I never called that provider again. That clears my conscience for the present. But there is a smidgeon of residual unease.

I'm not trying to cause a raucus here, but you mentioned driver. Are there pimps posing as drivers?

A driver is just that; a driver. Nothing more nothing less. There shouldn't be any issues regarding a driver other than availability.

I watched a differnet documentary on this is in regard to central/South America sex slavery. There was one discussion about the most horrendous thing I've ever heard. After the girl had been 'used up' they would tie her down and then drive a large nail into the top of her head. This caused her to convulse and the sick fucks would fuck her while this occured. I generally don't believe in the death penalty, but when it comes to something like this, 'chop their fuckin heads off'

There are "boyfriends" who encourage their "girlfriends" to enter the SP business. I believe younger rooky SP's will usually start their career with an established agency. Once the rooky learns the ropes and gains comfort and confidence, it takes no stretch of the imagination that the "encouraging boyfriend" encourages his "girlfriend" to consider testing the independent route. Guess who is likely to be her driver??

If this scenario is valid, is the driver/boyfriend not her pimp?
