Hotels are fairly hip, and if they suspect you're using their hotel for incall, they'll fire your ass out in a second.

The maids are the worst. Be prepared to tip them royally. Calling to the front desk to order up more sheets and towels is not recommended. Bring your own and they should be well hidden in a closed suitcase, and your supplies also tucked away in your luggage when you're away from your room.

Take your garbage out whenever you leave, and never, ever leave any form of evidence.

Also, an MO is in order such as "I'm interviewing people for a job" and register with a company name, and always use a credit card to book. Cash looks sleazy and doesn't fit the corporate image. Don't stay more than 2 or 3 days at the same place.

Don't go waltzing through the hotel lobby snuggled up to your date, they saw you do that yesterday with someone else.

Don't stay up all night making noise.

That being said, there are malicious people out there, hell, even bylaw could have done it. They don't have much recourse to bust girls who are working within the laws of Canada, so, the gestapo runs them out of town. Calgary must have the worst scene ever.

One girl told me she pays housekeeping staff to quietly provide extra towels and sheets, and said they're perfectly willing to keep their mouths shut for a decent "tip".

Sounds like just plain bad luck to me.

One thing I always recommend is hotel with more than one entrance to elevators downtown or Greenwood by airport, Get a room at the end of hallway since the maids spend less time at teh end than the middle of the hallways

One bedroom apartments, your guests would be less scrutinized as you are expected to stay longer in an apartment accomidation. You should be allowed friends to visit in an apartment. As well as maintain more of your own linens. The kitchens are nice, helpful to get a decent meal and save some money preparing some basic meals for your self, full sized refrigerator. TV's in both the living and bedroom is nice too. Not a bad place. Exersise room and a small pool too!

Try the International Hotel on 4th Ave and about 1st street. It was originally built to be appartments, but was turned into a hotel. Weekdays should be less than $150. Much better than the place Amelie is staying at.
