I tried contacting an SP last week. She said she screens people and needed a reference in order to see me. What do you guys recommend a junior pooner do to get started?

Which SP did you contact? Many have alternative screening methods that may not require a reference or you could go see a SP that does not require a reference and then use her as your reference.

Why is it alarming that SPs offer BBBJs? It seems normal that if you want a covered blowjob then she can provide that. Might want to mention that in advance so she doesn't bring her any extra latexy tasting condoms.
