That being the case, I think the more appropriate term would be 'screwed'...however, one thing that surprises me is the use of the term butt-fucked, which is most often used in a derogatory reference, as in 'man, those cell phone providers are sure butt-fucking us without lube'. My confusion stems from the fact that guys typically enjoy Greek, so why the use of this term to refer to something distasteful, I'll never understand...?

that's easy... :)

greek = heterosexual anal sex

utilities = forced homosexual anal sex

it's all in the point of view

I would use the word rape for "forced homosexual anal sex".
But really, I don't think the emotional impact of price gouging by telcos quite equates.
The cheap solution I got for my son was the phone and pre-paid card from 7/11. I bought it on a deal ($100 of time purchased upfront) and got the phone for free. The average monthly cost on running that phone was less the $10 per month. Though, he isn't yet a teenager and only uses it to check in with us when travelling to and from school or to a friends place.

Hmmm, I think I get it...? :confused:

With the new rules it looks like I am free from Bell Mobility.

I rec'd this package in the mail saying I am now month to month.

I have a Samsung Android Smart Phone - so I need data and I also drive a lot from Vancouver to Chilliwack (for work).

Anyone know of a good provider I can switch to that provides good coverage and decent rates?

Thanks!
Anyways, back to the original topic, what kind of rates are you hoping to get, for how much service? I have lots of minutes, unlimited texting, and never go over my data, although I use my phone like an extra limb. I'm an iPhone user with Rogers, and have no complaints. Last year, I had an unexplainable charge for data use and, when they couldn't figure out the source, they gave me the refund. I pay about $100 per month, but I know that, when you see a good plan, you have to grab it because it may never come around again... And I'm not afraid of 2- or 3-yr contracts, since I've been with them for about 20 years.
