Did you had a chance to look at it?
(nota bene: that's NOT the political parts of it that marvelled me so much)
(For the record, she reacted so well about one of the candidate-wanna-be-president who indulged in sex assaults and degrading women below "things")

I just did yesterday! Magnific statements about equality of chance, of respect of women from men, and to feel all concerned and work together to stop that mean sexism,
and this all around the world, as it is her usual commitment.

Here's the link: New Hamshire's Michelle Obama speech

What do you think of that part of her speech?

***Oh, I just realized this is my first ever post on Perb since my join date.
I don't know if I should have taken the time to present myself first a bit better, but well.

Eight years! Wow.

Welcome to Perb and thanks for the post.

It's sad seeing the Obama family leave the Whitehouse. They brought so much since taking office in 2008 under very trying circumstances. I think Michelle really knows how to reach out to people. I can't recall ever listening any First Lady's speeches and anytime Michelle speaks, I listen.

In my opinion both Michelle and Barack brought a lot of the decorum expected from the Presidency. If the buffoon from NYC takes office, it will be a daily shit show.

Yes, eight years!

Thank you to welcome me so nicely badbadboy :)

I did "protect" my name and come to see a review I got back then.

And please, if ever you notice a not so perfect English, it is because it's not my first language.

I think Michelle Obama had certainly few positive activities while she was First Lady,
and that speech was very great to help to stop the violence against women and improve society then in general.

Hi Uncleg :)

In fact, to tell you the truth, I don't follow that much politics usually, maybe from an eye, from time to time.

I just believe that sometimes, while doing politics, people could make some wonderful good moves for Humanity.

..you'd think, right. Funny though how many start out with good intentions in that general direction and after that first taste of power quickly concentrate on holding on to it...humanity be damned...at least until it's election time...

Well, that's probably the major reason why people don't trust politicians, when they have been trapped in the system.
Often, the system in place is sooo heavy, it might take a miracle or a kind of revolution/change of certain laws to succeed a project.

Born in Chicago, grew up in Chicago. So that is her home town, not New York.

Really ? Born Chicago....raised in Park Ridge, Illinois....in the burbs. So that's her hometown if you insist on being correct. However, next time you get to New York, tell somebody that's lived and worked there for the past ten years more or less that they aren't from New York because they weren't born there. See how fast they rip you a new arsehole.

Besides I didn't say she was born there, I said she was from there. In my world I'm from Vancouver, if anybody asks. I wasn't born here, but this is where I'm from. How you interpret where you're from in your world, that's up to you. If you don't like how I interpret things in my world, nobody is asking you to live in it and I doubt I'll ever have any reason to move to yours.

Hi Maria.....
Would it have been easier to follow if I had used one of the descriptors from our friends in Scotland?
