This is a throwaway account for reason that may be obvious.
Last March I started noticing some red bumps on my lower stomach, and at first I didn't pay them much attention. After a month of denial and panic I finally realized that they were warts, which I most likely caught from an SP. Despite my loneliness I don't feel it would be appropriate to date, and I also don't have the confidence to take my shirt off in public, so I've had an incredibly depressing Summer.
I wish I gotten the HPV vaccine while I had the chance (I've gotten it now but it doesn't help clear infections) because it's about $150 per vaccine but if I could go back in time I would definitely pay $1000 per vaccine. Even if you've had HPV before (and most people have, regardless if you see SPs or not) there are still 100 more types that you haven't had before and the vaccine can help protect you from the most common and dangerous types. GET THE DAMN VACCINE!
From what I've read online there is a very wide range of opinions on HPV from those who think it's an inevitable side effect of having a sex life, to those who think you should be castrated if you keep that information from your partner. Even though most people will get it I would still feel terrible if I spread my infection to somebody else, which is why I haven't had sex in over 8 months.
When it comes to Sps though, I think it's safe to say that pretty much all of them have been exposed to countless types of HPV and I really hope they've all been vaccinated (it won't completely stop them from spreading the disease though).
So here's my question: I've been wart free for a few weeks, I still have some scars from cryotherapy, and I'm horny as hell but there's a decent chance that I'm still contagious. Am I horrible person if I go to see an SP or would I be refused anyways once she saw some suspicious scars? Even if the SP doesn't become infected there's a chance that her next client could catch my infection and I hate the thought of that. Is it very common for people to see SPs when they have HPV?
