How Trustworthy Should I Be of a Potential Mistress?

I am having somewhat of a dilemma in regards to being a suitor for a prospect Mistress/Domme.

I at first emailed a posting on Backpage about a week ago seeking her services. She responded on the weekend, and we've been having a leisurely discussion since then as to what would be desired of me/her. It all sounds absolutely perfect, and she seems to know what I want and says she has been a Mistress for years. She sent me a picture, and also tried to call me (I was at the gym).

Then it came time to book a dungeon for me to show her my mettle. I have no problem with this, and would book the session in a heartbeat. The thing is she wants me to send a $450 payment to an account which she says is for booking the room and purchasing the toys needed. So this is where my dilemma is at, I'm not allowed to meet her until the session, and I am supposed to trust her with this. I understand that on its own is part of the agreement we're making, but in this day and age it's a slippery slope.

She sounds legitimate, but I could do if I've been leading people astray for long. Her name is Mistress Lamar and she asked me to send payment to the person who runs the bondage store. I won't post the name here, unless it might help.

So give me the honest truth am I crazy for even considering sending the payment without any type of acknowledgement first, or is merely part of my duty in a master/slave relationship? Maybe there's a way I can tell how truthful she is without meeting her in person? But I can't think of one.

My opinion: don't do it. I've never heard of Mistress Lamar. If she's been a Mistress for years, why does she need to purchase toys or book a room? Your situation makes me nervous. I've seen a number of Dommes through the years and have been fortunate that all are what they said they were. There are also Domme's that I have never personally seen however their reputations are well established. I would be comfortable if you were seeing any of these ladies but not your Mistress Lamar. Maybe I'm wrong though and there's someone that can vouch for her.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. You really set me straight, since I wasn't sure at what to do. She said she used her apartment for her services, but needed to conduct her first exchange in a dungeon. I thought the same thing and searched high and low to find any record of her, but couldn't find a thing. For a situation that's too good to be true it usually is. Everyone else is either looking for financial domination or pay piggies, something I can't say I prescribe to.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN THE Opposite WAY!!!! Who ever this is is not an established Domme in this city and I highly doubt she is an established Domme at all. Dommes that are established don't book like she is trying to do. It sounds like a novice who wants to become a pro and this is the wrong way she is trying to get started. I don't think someone like her will ever be a professional even after getting into this profession and is not someone who you could trust now or in the future. My advice is to see Dominique Domme, Mistress Yuliya or Lady Rapture.. The Mistresses who have been around for many years. Also if they don't have a website run being some locally have stole photos of world wide established dommes. Who does that? Sketchy!!! And who would go see someone like this when there are ladies doing it right and have your back taking you on a safe and fun kink journey. Play safe. I'm sure there are crazy subs so why can't there be crazy pep's trying to get in this world?
