The provincial government is sending each and every one of us a $100 Carbon Tax rebate.....



If we spend it at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China.

If we spend it on gasoline, the money will go to the Arabs.

If we purchase a computer it will go to India .

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala.

If we purchase a good car, it will go to Japan.

If we purchase useless crap, it will go to Taiwan ... and none of it will help the B.C. economy.



The only way to keep the money here at home is to spend it on prostitutes, weed, beer and tattoos since these are are the only products still produced in British Columbia.

Actually most of the money goes to the middleman who may or may not be based in BC.

its more a demand issue than supply issue... they charge that much because they know people will pay it they say there was something like a 900 billion barrels of oil avilable in the 1980's now the supply left is at 900 trillion because of better technology so they can drill places they couldn't and its more worth it to extract oil that is more pricey to remove because of the high prices they can. There is more oil today than there was in the 80's so the fact than there running out is a myth the oil company and goverment don't want ppl to know

I do agree there is to many ppl driving massive SUV and 4x4 and they will never leave the pavement.. I drive a frontwheel drive car with good snowtires never had a problem with losing traction in the snow and believe me I don't drive slow.

The OIL is just like the subprime housing crisis. Once demand is weaken, oil price will sell off just like the housing market in the state....

and when it does sell off, price of gasoline will be under 1 buck......
