Just drop all carbs, fried foods and refined sugars. Drink lots of water. No alcohol cuz it's empty calories. Eat clean!
.
how to lose 10 lbs before xmas without too much work?
i stopped eating wheat about 5 weeks ago , lost 3 lbs , but am feeling better.
and wow , its hard to not eat wheat , its in every fucking thing.
and our society in the past 75 yrs has been consummmmming huge amounts in our diets.
i know you do gooders will say exercise exercise , .....i,m not wired that way , but will go for the long walks ,
i think its the wine thats gotta go ;(

It really depends how fat you are . If you actually are 20 +pounds over weight but need to get 10 off to get in your pants . I wouldn't be so concerned about weight training meaning traditional 1or 2 body parts per work out with 3-5 minute rests .
If you fall into this category . If it were me. I would do 2 x30 minute cardio sessions a day and restrict carbs by 3 meals and eat them in the morning and maybe lunch but not a sandwich protien shake with a carb source thrown in .

I would do abs daily as well as take vitamin c, drink green tea magnesium and a multi vitamin . 2 lts of water a fibre added every day like nutra cleanse no Booz no coffee additives and no boxed or refined carb sources .

If you have really only 10 lbs to lose I would eat 5-6 small meals consisting of vegetables and meat no added fat and spray the pan don't ad oil . You can eat as much vegetable as you want . Cooked or raw it doesn't matter
1 45 minute cardio at 80% x4 ( intervals) and full body work outs like p90 pull ups sit ups and plyo. Moves combined high intensity chest training and walking lunges pyramid down

I'm sorry!!! Lol I Just get so many anonymous emails from guys claiming to be members here, and threatening false bad reviews if I don't give them a rate reduction, and the way that some people on here like to talk as if we are inanimate objects as opposed to living breathing human beings.... It was stressing me out so I just wanted to back off for a bit...
But here I am.....?
Kiss kiss?

It depends on how much you abandon me to defend myself all alone against the Dark side around here ;)

Lol lol :thumb:
I’m sorry ma’am, but when I want your opinion (or that of any other SP/non-human entity), I’ll tell you just what to say… ;)

Seriously, I understand.
Without the threats that your end of the spectrum receives, the Dark side and time wasters are enough to make me want to just leave sometimes.
I started in Dec 2012 and am seriously considering leaving in Dec 2013, should I survive that long.

Welcome back and I hope that I quit before you do!

If the threats are coming form Perbites or those claiming to be, get a PM from that person and take it to the Mods.
Now, back to MY discount…

Cami,
I am so sorry to hear that this is happening to you . Thank you for bringing it up and I just want you to know you are not alone . I think your adorable and I missed your cuteness don't think for a minute you have to go away .

It has more net carbs than vodka...it's in how it affects your insulin levels...vodka does less so.

I have lost over 30 pounds since late July with the easiest to follow "diet" I have ever used. The secret is to write down everything that you eat, and record it. I keep an electronic scale, that zeros out, and weigh everything that I eat. I then enter the list into a web based calculator. I use the one at SparkPeople.com, since it allows users to add products, and seems to have almost every available product listed, even those exclusively Canadian. I set a goal of 1600 - 2000 calories a day, since I work at a desk, and I am not very active. Note that while I use SparkPeople's website to total my lists, I do not follow their diet recommendations.

I started this after reading that in several published studies, those who kept detailed food diaries had markedly better results than those who didn't, regardless of the diets that they were on See: http://http://healthland.time.com/2012/07/13/the-secrets-to-weight-loss-keep-a-food-journal-dont-skip-meals-eat-in/ and http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/To-drop-pounds-write-down-everything-you-eat-3206644.php

What happens when you write everything down is that you remain mindful of what you are eating. You can't look at a list that includes three full bowls of cereal, that when weighed represent three official servings each, and believe that is sane. Yet I know that was something that I'd regularly do before. You can't write down that you ate one and a half (12 slices) of stuffed crust pizza @ 300 calories plus each slice, then enter it into the calculator, and believe that is OK. So it becomes self correcting. You don't want to embarrass yourself by doing stupid things, and after a while, you don't.

The beauty is, that I don't feel deprived. If I feel like a piece of pizza, I have it. If I want some Pringles, I eat them. But I force myself to write all of it down, and then enter them in the calculator, to see the result. Even if I have a hotdog at 7-11, I write it down, and I can find it on the SmartPeople calorie list.

I used to calculate them through the day. Now I wait till the next day. I found that if I had only eaten 1400 calories, I'd run to the kitchen and "top up" my list by eating something else. After doing this for a few months, I am amazed that often my list only totals 1300 - 1500 calories, even though I didn't feel hungry or deprived. The highest it has gone, after the first week, is 2,600 calories, and that is probably maintenance for me.

The problem with other diets I have tried, like Atkins or Low Fat, besides the fact that they seem to mess with your head, is that once you reach your goal, you are pretty much forced to go off of the diet, and back to your "regular" eating regime. With the "write it down" method, you never really changed your diet, you just changed the quantity that you eat. So going off of it doesn't involve any drama. You continue to eat the same things, just a little more of them.

This has really worked for me. I'd recommend it.

Thank you so much Ms Jessica! Coming from a lady such as yourself, this is indeed high praise! (I thought I had replied to this previously but apparently I got interrupted halfway through and it disappeared into the ether.

I must admit that a big part of my issues with weight were related to compulsive overeating. When I quit drinking in 1997, I began to substitute foods high in transfats and eat them in enormous quantities. During the period where I was most unhappy, I was probably taking in an extra 5,000 - 7000 calories DAILY. That included my high fat high sugar two hashbrowns extra greasy breakfast, my 2 Starbucks venti 1100 calorie drinks, and the entire large bag of chips I'd eat after a lumberjack portioned dinner. I was also very sedentary, because at 5'8" and 285 pounds I was too tired and slow to exercise. I couldn't even do one lap around the field at work. Now, I walk at least 45 minutes a day at a kick-ass pace! I also burn a lot of calories with clients...much more fun than doing leg press any day! :clap2:
