How to do it the Canadian way?

Hi guys, I'm new to pooning. I know Canada is quite lax on this stuff, but what exactly can you mention in your email/phone when you try to setup an appointment for the first time. Do I just asked for an appointment at certain date and time or can I be more direct and ask thing like the menu and mileage?
