Nope, sorry, only the crazy christers in that event. The others have to develop their own means of quitting the planet. Getting them to join Jim Jones style cults is a possible solution. I would be happy to see non-deity worshippers like Scientologists included in the extinction as well.

We "Old People" don't have to worry about it much. Young People don't vote. One of the secrets of Democracy is that actually getting to the polling place is driven by how important the election is to the person. Young people make a lot of noise, but they don't feel strongly enough to vote. On the other side, we Old People understand that if we don't vote, we will lose things that we have like Canada Pensions, Publicly Financed Health Care, etc.

It's only when "Young People" become "Old People" that they understand the importance of these programs and start to vote.

The above is the reason that the entire welfare-state social system will completely collapse over the next 20 years.

The boomers are the largest voting segment already and that is only growing.

Politically, they do care about getting/keeping the following:

Healthcare with short waitlists
No manditory driving testing for older drivers
More CPP/OAS/GIS benefits
Less taxes on investment income
Lower property taxes
Lower Sales Taxes
More tax breaks for seniors
Free Prescription Drugs for seniors
Low corporate taxes
Longer jail sentences for property crimes
Higher real estate prices
High interest rates


They do not care about the following:

High taxes on earned income
Lower UI benefits
Lower Welfare benefits
Higher UI premiums
Higher CPP premiums
Large deficits and debt spending
Education spending
Funding for most special interest groups (except those for seniors)
Minimum Wages
Job Creation


We are in for big trouble over the next 10-20 years. It will be a great time to be a senior but it will really suck (and not in the good/bbbj kinda way) for everyone else.

Well the way I see it, all the others will then blame the Jews, they're God's chosen so of course it will be their fault, armageddon will ensue and they will all kill each other, but the Jews will win because they are after all the chosen ones, and they got all the money! Then we will have a thousand years of peace and quiet.....or something like that.

Just about every "right" that a young person has was gained by us "Boomers" fighting for it.

And just about every dollar of national and provincial debt that we will spend the rest of our lives paying interest on, was spent by the boomers.

Basically they learned quickly that they could mortgage the future to pay for what they wanted NOW and have their children and grandchildren actually pay for it instead of themselves.

Make no mistake, we are already seeing the spending cuts to things like education and EI that boomers no longer need or use for themselves and talk is already going on to increase the current CPP benefits and increase the premiums to pay for it (CPP is already a 10% payroll tax, 5% employer and 5% employee, this is predicted to DOUBLE just to meet the obligations to pay CPP to those already collecting and no longer paying in)

They say that the kids coming out of high school and university now will be the first generation since the first world war that won't be able to maintain the same standard of living as their parents had. Why? because they will be the ones PAYING for the standard of living that their parents had.

No argument that the boomers are a HUGE political force and are basically calling all the shots and have been calling all the shots for decades, but they are also the selfish "ME" generation and in their retirement they will continue to write cheques that will cause the next few generations to go bankrupt trying to pay off the debts that they have accumulated.

Another interesting thing is that while the boomers have or will inherit vast sums from their own parents, they are unlikely to leave much to their children as they are one of the first generations with huge mortgages in retirement. Reverse mortgages are also something new that they came up with.
