I want to buy a car but since I am a sp I have no regular pay check to show employment. I can not just come out and say hey do not worry about it I am a sex worker and will get you your money every month. Other then taking a huge amount of cash in is there another way? Is there someone on this site who sells cars and we could make a private arrangement? I could pay a thousand or two a month until it is paid in full.

Well this post is a little bit awkward.

I purchased my vehicle this year, cash paid in full. If you don't have assets or proof of income, you are highly unlikely to qualify for a loan. Best bet is to save your cash till you can buy a nicer vehicle, or buy a used car for 2-3gs

Or you can network and meet more SPs and eventually the road will lead to someone who will finance a car for you under the table.

Buy a used car from a place that does financing. Be prepared to also have to pay your insurance in full, btw. You don't want to go to one of the big deal places with brand new cars, just the smaller ones that you deal with directly. Interest will be high, so unless you want to pay cash in full, be prepared for that as well. If you can make the deal, you will have something to use for a credit history. It may not be worth as much as you imagine, that kind of credit history, but it will be more than you have right now.

There are some places in Surrey near the Scott road station that I have been to that do this, and even if all you end up doing is a 3 to 4 payment plan, as you say you give them 30-50% deposit, then finance the rest over 3-6 months, and you are driving same day.

I suggest you avoid doing any deals with or using clients or other sps to help out. Be 100% responsible for yourself, do it for and by yourself. If you need someone to help you find a good reliable vehicle, you need to be able to take it to a mechanic to check it before buying. That would be something you can find a friend to help with, and if you have no suitable friends, possibly ask a knowledgeable client for advice. (this doesn't contradict what I said earlier--basically avoid any and all financial dealings thru a 3rd party, it will only lead to trouble)

oh, and anyone will tell you that it will be very helpful for your future to have 2-3 concurrent tax returns to provide when attempting to get financing for things.

just bring in your tax returns...

as I have been told all nice SPs file...

the form they will want to see is Form T2125, "Statement of Business or Professional Activities"...

when they ask you the nature of your business...

simply answer you are a "Pleasure facilitator"...

these assholes want to sell cars, they don't ask any questions...

if you can afford to spend a couple of thousand a month on payments, learn to discipline yourself and save for several months until you can afford to buy a car for cash. in the meantime, buy a second hand car for cheap, a couple of thousand can buy a serviceable car. only put the minimum insurance on it, in alberta it's PLPD (Public Liability). If you want to live outside the system, sometimes sacrifices need to be made in exchange for instant gratification.

Thanks for the input everyone. I am in B.C. I have been car shopping as much as I can in my spare time and it is hard to find something decent for a few grand. I do not want it to break down in 2 months and be in a worse position. I usually have money saved up and set aside for emergencies but I lent it to a trusted long time friend who I never thought would betray me and suddenly he disappeared so I am starting over again but by December or Jan I should be in a better position. Does anyone here have a good reliable car for sale?

Car shopping is practically my hobby. If you need help picking something out, or someone to go with you to the dealers so you don't get hosed, let me know.

I would love for some help, thank you for your offer. I sent you a pm.

I am finding it awkward to be making big purchases with cash as I get comments like “did you rob a bank?” “What are you a drug dealer?” Not to mention people are suspicious because of counterfeit.

Instead of cash, go to the bank and get a bank draft or certified cheque and have it made payable to the car dealership. However, I would only do this if you report all your income as this may raise some flags with C.C.R.A.

It's going to raise flags with the CRA anyway. The CRA tracks assets purchased by people without the declared income to purchase them. Brenda can almost count on an audit.
Exactly. That is why I advised that Brenda do this only if she has declared all her income which would include the income used to make the purchase. If she has the declared income, there will be no reason for the flags.

You need to start by getting a credit card. If you are older than 18, you should have one. It's the basis for credit. get a limit, bump it up, pay it off, etc. Though, the CRA will see how much you spend, only use it so much so that it doesn't track you too badly, but get it done asap.

Always claim like 8000 to 10,000 per year in income. The income is so low you get almost all of your tax back (maybe less a few hundred). But this basically allows you to spend all of that money per year without raising any questions, and gives you an established income for credit

Im pretty sure anyone can walk into a small or large dealership and finance a vehicle. Im in Alberta, so I could only ride a scooter 3 months out of the year.lmao. A couple grand could also get you a puddlejumper, as was mentioned. Its alway's easy to inccur the debt; Not so easy to get rid of it. Im guessing your independant? ( with regard's to your proffesion) If not and you work for an agency or studio, have them write a letter confirming your employment and income ( embellished or otherwise). This seemed to be acceptable when I was looking.
