How often do you get tested?

I got thinking about how many of us pooners get tested for std's and how often we do so.
This thought arose after reading a thread in the 411 section. I know that many of the girls get tested regularly but thought that it would be easier for everyone if everybody was tested on a regular basis. ( I know, I'm dreaming)
So out of curiousity, how often do you go in to get tested.


For myself, it has always been a hit and miss affair, I tried for a yearly inspection but many times it was many months past due by the time I made the trip in. The Q-tip up the ureathra(sp) doesn't make me a happy camper. So far I have always been given a clean bill of health.

1) Keep it wrapped- Your crazy not to, nothing is worth that risk

2) Get tested yearly to be safe. Its totally annonymous anyways.

getting tested is no big deal. by this i don't mean it's not important; i mean that the process isn't bad, and it's definitely anonymous. the cue-tip up the cockhole i was dreading, but nowadays they have these tiny little cue-tips, not the "sweet jesus he's going to cram that up my weiner" ones that look as though they could clog a bathdrain. it's mildly uncomfortable, but necessary to get a culture to test for certain std's.

you have to wait a bit, up to two weeks, and they will give you every result over the phone (using a code word) except for the HIV result. they can't be telling people over the phone that they are going to die. consequently, they can't tell them that they are negative either.

i was scared to go for the first time in 15 years, but was relieved when i did. i talked to HealthNurse about it on the phone, and he was really helpful. there are free clinics all over van, and i went to the one on davie near i think it's bute, since i live downtown. it's in a predominantly gay area, but they don't care what kind of hole you like to poke. nice people working there.
