How non-refundable is my hotel?

Realized it's a boutique hotel all too late.. which is 'fine' since I plan to be low vol anyways, but would much rather stay somewhere else.

Anyone had this happen before and had luck changing their booking?

I doubt that staying in a boutique hotel will be an issue as long as staff intervention is not required for your clients to reach your room. I suspect they have a significant amount of similar "business".

I ended up only having to pay for 1 night if I wanted to switch. I think I'll be happier where Im going. Depends on how good the guests and whale watching is if I'm back or not!!

I think I read somewhere, her blog maybe, that she was really looking forward to whale watching; doing some kind of whale watching tour when she got here. I believe that’s what she was referring to. But JMHO
