How many of you know someone who’s had Covid

Grandparents of my daughter's best friend. Both died.

A colleague of mine, both his son and the girlfriend got it. Know them, they are in their mid-twenties. They were very social types. Just recovering now after 4 weeks. Their dad wanted to have a beer with me on Friday and I said I was busy........

One cousin in France had it, she still has some breathing issues though. A clients brother in Germany died of it.

Media are focusing on mortality as the sole measure of severity.
A big mistake IMO
Many people are not dying but have severe long term effects from neurological ie strokes to reduced lung function.
So maybe a certain percentage die but a much greater percentage are permanently disabled.
