Was doing my bachelors of psychology 5 years ago. Was planning on going all the way, masters, PhD, combine with neuroscience and all that jazz, and eventually do research studies and be a scientist. Literally second semester in I panicked, considered reality of cost, and salary of a researcher, and stress of papers. Anyway, I dropped out and enlisted. Did 3 years, got out and found a profession (software engineering) did a year in a technical institute and now I’m working for a software development company. Most definitely don’t miss university days, if anything in my 22 years of existence my time served was most valuable.
