It's been over 3 months now, so we should be well on our way to our goals, right?? :D

Normally I forget what mine was by the next morning but this year I made a general one that I called "self improvement" and to my surprise I am still sticking with it...

I changed my hours cuz too many people wanted earlier appointments, so now I work 12-10pm Mon-Wed and 12-6 pm Thurs + Friday. This will change when it's warm enough to go to the lake though, so be warned, nothing trumps the lake.

I started seeing a new chiro for back problems and discovered I have soft bones so I have been taking Calcium Citrate supplements (which is hard cuz I hate pills) to build them up.

Then I saw a plastic surgeon to look at old back injury and found out it needs a simple surgery so doing that in June...then taking 2 weeks off for it to heal and going to stampede, yeehaa.

What else, oh yeah, got a new haircut that I love, kind of a faux-mohawk which suits me. (Think Pink or Gwen Stefani.)

I even wrote the first paragraph to my book, which I am bored of already, but will get on eventually.

Last but not least, I have broken my soap opera addiction by taping Monday and Fridays episode, and it is true that you don't miss much.

So I have been a busy girl, what about the rest of you???? I'm be interested in commiserating!

Anyone quit smoking? Lost weight? Cut down on the BB? Lol.

I hope you mean an ortho? What kind of injury would you see a plastic surgeon for?
I had an injury and then a lump started to form on my upper shoulder (a lypoma I think), which impedes my range of motion, so I got a referal to a Plastic Surgeon (to avoid a bad scar) and Bobs your uncle, it's covered on medical!

And how would a chiro determine that you have soft bones? Did you have a bone density test?
Yes, he has a small hand held gizmo, and apparently my bones can only take 15 pounds of pressure before it hurts (instead of the usual 40 for a woman) therefore they are termed "soft bones".

Just increasing your intake of calcium does not necessarily mean that the calcium will be added to your bones,I would suggest regular weight bearing excercise, your body may not use the calcium if it doesn't think it needs it, and you'll just end up with what some bodybuilders and nutritionists call "gold-plated pee".
He told me to take 1500 mg/day, so I gag em down and it better help! Right now he doesn't want me to work out cuz he is trying to get my back alligned before surgery. He knows I do yoga, maybe I could add a weight if necessary? Food for thought.
