How important is facebook to you?

There are so many people who have their life story on fb and give every constant updates daily. Even shit like they are going to the toilet or cooking. They have every single pic they ever own and details of their lives. Mines is rather lame just one profile pic,no birth days listed,no constant updates,etc. More than often it's just like msn messenger to me. I remember posting a porn video from pornhub on a friends page and had this person freak out. Also the time when i heard of one buddy who had her page hacked & lost(seem like their life is ending). How serious do you take your facebook page? Do you care if it's hacked?

I'd rather take a 3rd dump of the day than to login to facebook. The only reason my account hasn't been deleted yet is due to my own laziness.

Facebook is THE very definition of WOT. Of course, the flipside is that since it reaches such a massive audience, it could very well be the next great marketing tool.

Even though I don't check my fb every day, it is nice to have an account so that I can get in touch with my friends since some of them use fb everyday and they live in different countries. They don't check their e-mail every day, but check there fb every hour!

Joined up as a means of communications with my niece. Once we connected I deleted my account, just not worth it. Now the hacker group Anonymous has it is going to "attack" Facebook and try to bring it down.

my kids its a big deal, and they stay connected with alot of people and family.
but honestly if your close to some one you see them talk to them, regularly don't you, or you just phone them up some times out of the blue to see whats up.

All forms of social media can literally suck the life out of you if you let it control you. Like a lot of things in life, moderation is the key. It's great to unplug once in a while and simply breathe.

But Angie, you have to keep in mind, that no matter what your computer skills, you can only find what has been posted. If this individual had chosen to not post anything about himself on the net, you wouldn't have found him.

Facebook for me is pretty much just another email account with a bit more functionality. For most it's only real purpose is stalking and ego inflation.

i could care less about facebook !!!.. it really doesnt mean a thing to me. i dont even use my real name on there and i have no reason to connect with highschool friends that i have not seen in a while.. if i dont have contact with them or lost contact there is probably a reason. Besides i like to look forward in my life, and not back track and hang on to old friends who really are not even my friends. I have about 6 contacts on facebook, and i check my messages here and there and sometimes once in a blue moon

I deleted my facebook account a long time back....I got sick to death of all the completely fucking useless crapulence that people would post as updates not to mention all the invitations to join time wasting games like farmville.....a friend of mine was unemployed for a lengthy period of time and could not find a job......yet he could spend 6-8 hours a day everyday on facebook....I would message him on facebook and tell him I was going to call him....he would not answer the phone...he said "message me on facebook"....total fucking facebook zombie under the control of that douchebag zuckerberg that 1/2 created & 1/2 stole facebook.

facebook is a total waste of time IMO.

I think like you in reguards to facebook. I dont use my real name or lastname and have no interest in hooking up with my boring highschool friends. My birthdate on fb is 1905 and born on dec 25 lol. Had people criticize my page
