Pre-booking is important for all concerned ... it helps me that my head is doing the thinking!!
For those that already know their personal, work and visiting/vacay schedules generally prebook. As a full time and independent intimacy companion, I do prefer and prioritize those who can have their shit together and can adhere to that prebooked time. Also, as a full time companion, I can also enjoy and accept short notice and same day liaisons, based on MY own schedule, level of horniness and personal life commitments

I am usually a day of/spur of the moment person. I find this often is best for me both horniness wise and schedule wise. Booking ahead sometimes the day comes and for whatever reason the libido is not there.
I guess there’s pros and cons to each. Day off definitely takes care of the horny factor and confirms your own availability. But as stated in this thread, that might not always be the best for the SP. I like to book in advance to ensure availability and to address any requests I have. And it gives me more time for man grooming. There’s also a certain excitement with the anticipation and having to wait IMHO.

The rare times I have made same day bookings was when a provider cancelled on me, and I was very grateful to my regulars for seeing me on short notice.

I only prebook when it's a condition of seeing the provider. Otherwise, I'm always day of, and often within the hour. The lovely ladies I frequent are very accommodating and I love them for it.
Most understand that some of us in this wonderful hobby can only determine our own ability to get away on short notice.

It seems if you want to visit a “high end” or shall I say popular SP one may have to book well in advance. And as Dabbles says you might not be the horny by then. The difficulty is knowing when I have free time available.
Spur of the moment, I would try agencies or AMPs to find a partner to satisfy my pressing need.
I always try to schedule 2-3 weeks out. I find the anticipation, as I look forward to the date, very exciting. I never have a problem being horny the day of the date after waiting through the build up of the big day.
Having said that, there have been times when my schedule goes sideways that I have tried to book the day before or even the day of. Usually without much success though. I suppose if I was into MP's or LL, that may be different.
