How easy is it to get tested for....

Well, a couple of hours ago I was reading of one county in New York City area where "51.5% of those tested were positive for Covid-19".

That implies that the testing there wasn't exactly random.

Manhattan was "41% of all tests given to date were positive for Covid-19".

(again, that is not because the virus is so... viral )

No I gte that, I meant that I don't think just anyone walking in off the street into the hospital er can say "Hey I have no symptoms at all but I'd like to just get tested mmkay? thanks" If I'm wrong someone correct me and I'll own it but to me this just seems sketchy. What else could she be BS'ing us about?

My understanding is that aside from frontline staffers and those involved in outbreak tracking, they will only test you if you present advanced symptoms AND are at elevated risk of serious disease. That covid 19 safe badge is supposed to just promote virtual services. There’s a thread about it.

I'm not talking about the "Safe" badge, I'm tlking about the fact she claims in her ad "I HAVE BEEN TESTED FOR COVID-19 AND CLEARED!"

So it's pretty much BS then what she wrote

She states she was tested and cleared, but that was then and this is now. Her statement means nothing.

I’m guessing it’s BS, but even if true, it’s not like getting tested for the most deadly VD where you change your ways after a negative result and presumably won’t catch it. You could test negative for C19 and unwittingly acquire it at the store on the way home from the test.

That would be as insignificant as when somebody writes: "I have been tested and cleared for Herpes I, Herpes II, and Herpes XIC"

it's only as good as the last person she met prior to you... which is fine, as ultimately you are responsible for your own risk evaluation when seeing a provider.

This is not somebody who is so greatly immoral for presenting herself in that unique way. (she isn't likely to have it regardless of her claims... so begin there)

The better route for the aforementioned ho would be to claim IMMUNITY after said test, then add another $100 on top of the going price to polish your knob.

That said, that Ezra Levant dude’s news show ran an interview showing a cheap 3-minute finger-prick blood test performed on the interviewing reporter that had 3 levels like pregnancy lines that showed immunity (ie. you had it and are cured and are not carrying), you don’t have it, or oh fuck you are infected get away from me. (They were not 6-feet away from each other)

The test was created in China but is not approved for use in Canada, despite US FDA approval. Tests here are supposedly shipped off to a lab and takes 3-7 days; but is only a generic test for coronovirus.

Not only is her statement "TESTED FOR COVID-19 AND CLEARED" meaningless as described above, but she says nothing about what sort of test she had. There is a test for the covid-19 virus and there is a test for covid-19 antibodies. The first tells you if you have an active infection and the other tells you if you were infected (or vaccinated when that is possible) in the past.

Until widespread testing is done, we really aren't getting enough data to see a more accurate picture of this virus and how deadly it really is.

But for now, for the small samples that have been done, it is looking like the risk for people under 45 with no pre-existing heath conditions the death rate is extremely low. Most people in that demographic who get infected have mild to no symptoms at all.

But many of the people with severe cases, the virus doesn't just cause damage to their lungs, but sometimes also their heart, brain and kidneys.

Edit; I meant to say the virus triggers an overactive immune response/cytokine storm that damages other organs in the body

I heard of a small Stanford University study that found covid-19 exposure was 50 to 80 times more prevalent than had been previously documented.

The guy is not that old either, only 41. Coming from a 64 year guy, that is young lol.

And more studies are in the process of being done. This is a good thing. We need to look further into what’s going on in the “young & relatively healthy” demographic.
