There should be some local companies who specialize in "E-cycling". They'll take your old computer/electronic stuff off you, and salvage parts, recondition and re-sell, or recycle them.

Call your local computer store, they'll know how to get a hold of someone.

For the love of Allah, DON"T just take them to the dump!

Thats exactly the kind of service that I am looking for, do they charge you anything and are they willing to do a pick up?

1 800 Got-Junk

Basically you pay them a fee, I think it may vary depending on the size of the load, and they come and take it all away. They say they try to recycle anything that's reusable. Who know whether they do, but its a pretty inexpensive way to clear stuff out.

minimum charge is 100 cubic feet...@@ I do have alot of junk but not that many. Some of the stuff actually still works, like a external 24X/12 cd burner,
I was hoping that I can donate them somewhere ...I dont need them, cant really sell them for much $, so i figure giving them away to ppl who needs them is the best bet

it depends on who you call ... most will pick up but don't expect fast service ... a lot are run by volunteers who may quote you anything from 'this week' to a month or more.

Cals Computer on Grandview Hwy. deals with used parts aswell as new. You can just take your old computer stuff there. Some of it they may buy...for pennies :( but what I'm gettin at is they have a "free bench" you can leave old computer stuff on. People who have shit all "scroungers" or just like to tinker with old shit will happily scoop up your old shit.

why not donate?

Not sure what you like to do with them.. but there are always groups, non profit who would love to get donations like that, and will write you a tax reciept for the current retail value.. Sheriff King, Aventa, or any group home, dayhome... Just a thought *s*

i actually looked up those groups, as far as i know, they only accept complete system, one that works too. Most of what I have are bits and pieces, some work and some dont. I think i am just gonna call 1-800-got-junk.

Man, its funny when I poon, i can spend 6-7 browns for a few hours of fun, yet I definately spend more than 4 hours just trying to find a way to save myself 50 dollars for the cost of getting rid those junk.
