If anyone happens to have found a nice hotel that offers day rates could you pm me. I know sometimes hotels have special day rates for rooms to be used for meetings/entertaining during the day as opposed to for overnight stays. Just wondering if there are any in Victoria..... The whole cheap motel thing is a bit of a turn off, but it would be nice to not be dropping $$ for a hotel for a few hours....

Rates are pretty cheap this time of year. Never heard of day rates in Victoria? But you can get a room on Douglas for $59 @ the fox strip club. I've stayed there,it's clean and quiet. Hope that helps.

All that remains is the liquor store attached to it. I work in the industry, and I do not know of any half decent hotels offering day rates. The scuzziest hotels might still (Daffodil/Metro Inn, Island Travel Inn, etc.), but anything with at least 3 stars will definitely not. I know a hotel that I used to work at offered a half day rate if you had stayed the night before and needed a late check out, but that was about it.

There is an app called Hotel Tonight which gives you huge discounts for same day bookings on rooms they can't seem to fill. You'll still have to check-in after 3 but the rates are great.
Damn, that place is nice and at a decent rate too, not that I'm in need of it though.
