On vacation right now with my kids in the Okanagon. My girlfriend wasn’t able to come with me and since I’m such a horny fucking bastard I’ll need to self endulge a bit, after the kids are in bed.

Has anyone ever had issues watching porn on hotel wifi?

Could only imagine lol
Front desk guy phones my room, “No porn!!”
Me, “Ok sorry”. Then go right back to fappen!!

I’m honestly not too concerned, nor would I care, but I’m just curious about this, that’s all!

There's a number I've stayed at in the Okanagan Valley that block any sites with nudity. I had to use LTE to view Perb.

The places are usually a combo of owners and overnight guests. The Strata voted for zero adult related websites.

Use a VPN. If you get nord VPN you can use it on multiple devices including Android and IPhones and tablets. It’s encrypted from you to nord so anyone inbetween has no idea where you are surfing.

Only downside is VPN + WiFi + overtaxed hotel internet connection can often make streaming impossible.

Is there any point in using software that’ll hide the fact you’re watching porn, visiting sites like this or leolist?
I’m on my iPhone now eating lunch typing this, last night endulged in some adult content on my laptop without having any content blocked!
More curious if anyone has actually been busted for this or had the hotel staff snicker while you checked out!

Most people who work in the hotel industry are numb to the various activities that occurs in their rooms.

The only real reason they block porn from websites is to force you to use their pay-per-view services, not out of some kind of higher "morality". They charge $20-$50 to access, run-of-the-mill, basic, mainstream porn; so it's money out of their pockets when you're viewing for free on Pornhub using their internet.

But blocking sites like Perb or LL, it probably has more to do with keeping a "family-friendly reputation" for their establishment and not a go-to spot for poon-hobbying.

I expect that they're just buying a prefab block list and aren't specifically choosing their targets.

In general, anything that tries to stand between me, my food, and my woman are shot.

Survivors are then shot again.

Yes. You're being tracked.

Yes!

If you don't use a VPN, then you're being tracked. Every mouse click, every website in your history, every fetish, even the type of porn videos you enjoy, is all a part of your profile.

If you're protesting a policy, charged with a crime, or speak truth to power, any & all of that information can be used against you, especially if the Fascists take power S of the border.

The companies that track you also share freely with the NSA.

Best Practices:
  1. Always use a VPN when using Perb or viewing porn;
  2. Never call an SP on any phone that's registered to you;
  3. Use a burner phone for calls & texts to SPs;
  4. Don't turn your burner phone on at home;
  5. Turn your personal / work phone off before you turn your burner phone on;
  6. Don't email SPs using an email account that's registered to you;
  7. Never email a provider who uses a gmail address;
  8. Only use an anonymous email account (like protonmail.com) with SPs

I'm still astonished at how many providers use gmail addresses.

Since mobile phone locations are tracked, both by GPS and by cell tower triangulation, it's easy to find which mobile phone most closely tracks the location of your burner phone.

Best to cover your tracks, and not have to worry about how your activities could be used against you.

LOL!!

Reminds me of:

This property protected 4 days a week by S&W, You guess which days.
If you do? Trespassers will be shot, repeatedly. Survivors will be shot again.

Okay, Okay, I changed it a bit to my liking. :lol:

Now, back to the porn. LOL!!

This might be of interest. Years ago we brought our VCR to a hotel in Whistler and I plugged the cable first into the VCR then to the TV. We got tired of our tapes and decided to watch a porn ppview, well one led to another and in the morning I thought oh no I'm going to have a massive bill. Well guess what? There was no ppv charges at all, I guess because the cable went through my VCR first the hotel couldn't pick up my usage. I used it many times after that but that was then. No more VCR's and probably no cable either anymore.

Yikes, that's some serious paranoia!! I don't ever waste my energy worrying about such things as "Fascists S of the border". I can't imagine what it must be like living with that worry going on in my head...

Yeah PPV in hotels used to just queue up your selection on a channel and then switch to that channel. You paid to queue it not watch it, and the box blocked channels you didn't pay for. If you used a VCR, it would tune to the channel, and you were basically just eavesdropping on someone else's stream that they'd already paid for, shifting it to channel 3 which the box doesn't block.
