HGW I have never tried. I have tried tribilium, maca, Arginine. All the ED drugs. I am a skeptic by nature and have not really noticed much if any difference myself.
I think L-Arginine makes the most sense in the non-Rx catagory and will work synergistically Vitamin V, Cialis, Staxyn and the like. (staxyn is the least expensive, cheaper than generic V if you are taking 100 mg dosage and is the nicest to take as it is a tinny flavoured pill that dissolves on your tongue)
Arginine which is available cheapest at muscle stores, works by being a biochemical precursor to nitrous oxide production. This is the chemical that causes vasodilation in the penis and is responsible for the erectile process. ED meds work by blocking the enzyme that breaks down this chemical in the blood stream thus potentiating it's effects. Arginine just front end loads the process. I will mix two or so heaping teaspoons in a liter of drink mix and be guzzling away at it on my drive over to the appointment, takes about 20 min or so to get into the blood and start working, and you end up being hydrated as well which does not hurt either. ( in pill form or part of the so called male enhancement OTC sups it is ridiculously expensive and is the same stuff you can buy by the jar full at Popeyes.)
I do take Maca as well, and it is cheapest at "Bulk Barn" where it is sold as a food ingredient. Maca root powder. A South American root that is cultivated and grown in the Andies. Have not observed any noticeable effects myself, but it is cheap, harmless so I just add it into shakes etc. 1/4 teaspoon/day should be enough.
Being not of the spring chicken variety myself I am always looking for a leg up.
Have not tried pycnogenol, tongkat Ali (which is rare and really hard to get) or yohimbe. I would be interested to hear if anyone has given these ones a shot.
Regards.
