The thing is, a lot of men go on there looking for tail while a much larger percentage of women are looking for relationships. I hooked up once, girl wouldn't stop calling afterwards and things got real nasty real fast even though I tried to keep things friendly lol.
This is actually very true...last girl I picked up online was bipolar and wanted gangbangs...she wasn't the most stable person in the world...
POF is like a giant bar and you have a ton of girls to hit on, Of course if your a pretty boy you will get more action then if your not. One thing I did notice is that almost every girl on the site has kids, LOL I was talking to one girl who had 4 kids from 4 different guys but kept asking me if that made her a slut HAHA.

For the most part that is my experience....a lot of those gals have their ego's writing cheques that their bodies/looks cannot cash....so may women in denial it is off the scale...apparently an "average" weight is something like 200 pounds and a gal who is morbidly obese is "a bit over weight"....then you have to find the ones that dont have any kids and after that you have to sort through the nutbars and potential gold diggers......total waste of time.

One of my best buds met, and married, a ridiculously hot Columbian babe on eHarmony. For sure, you will have to waste a LOT of time and like anywhere, if you don't have game, you won't do well just because you hit reply. Oh, and like ERS, the profiles have bait & switch photos.

LOL what gets me is all the girls that say in their POF profile that they don't want "cut and paste messages." I get that and understand they want the guy to have at least read their profile and comment on something in it. But the thing is you need to send out dozens of messages to get just one reply, so it's hard to stay original in message after message after message. Girls need to understand that it's not the same for us as it is for them where all they have to do is log on and instantly they get tons of messages.
Wow it seems my experience has been quite similiar to everyones elses... the main reason I started goin on pof was to find a meaniful relationship.. but it seems like most of the women on there are just lookin to hookup. My first experience was meeting up with this one girl and she said she was just looking for a friend and I wasn't her type...but after we hung out a couple times we ended up in my bed. Then there are the other women on there who just want to chat and text.. when you ask them if they wanna meet up they say ofcourse, but they never follow through. Im just baffled with this site thats all. I think thats why I started pooning...lol
Last year on a two-month spree of POF, I hooked up physically with 3 out of 4 dates. They were at the beginning from the first to third dates that resulted from a lustful nightcap, but they never panned out eventually into a long-term relationship with those particular women (maybe sex first got in the way? -before really getting to know each other or keeping that sexual tension burning?).

Maybe you'll both be physically attracted to one another but meeting someone like this is rather random. Yeah I dunno. She made it sound like it was just a casual thing and I liked the idea of NSA. We hooked up a handful of times and then after not seeing her for like a week she kept texting and calling. Didn't reply to all her messages and she started getting kind of attention seeking whory ('Is it because you think I'm fat? I'm ugly aren't I etc) fishing for reassuring compliments. She still sends me these "..." text messages once every few months with nothing else lol. Some people are just mentally imbalanced when it comes to social interaction I guess.

The issue I have with POF is most cities the men out number the women on the site by about 5 to 1. I read online that many guys have issues getting women to respond to them. There are so many guys that the women get message overload and become very picky. I send out 6-8 messages maybe I get one back. After awhile you start to question yourself and it just not worth it.
I much prefer to try meeting women in real life. IE dance class, coffee places, farmer market, etc. If you go up to a woman and say Hi, chances are she will say Hi back. If you say Hi on POF, dead silence.
