This whole day has been a smorgasborg of loudness in the downtown core.

The sound of helicopters has subsided in the past hour...but it's been really loud downtown, all day.

I've heard choppers since I woke up, today.

Gretzky and Joe Biden have been WELL protected.

That's because of the last day for the torch relay and they had to go live!
Since CTV got the sole broadcast, they had to use all the allocated resources!

I'm pissed with CTV...I'm sure they got terribly high ratings since showing the luge boy breaking his neck.

Even in capitalism...there is some honor among thieves.

All I know is there is one chopper at least!

That accident, again has no choice but to show it. Otherwise, it will be a waste of the "sole broadcast" thing if you got what I mean!

Part of our money goes to them. So, they have to broadcast anything related to olympics!

Rest assured there's more then one chopper. At least a dozen military heli's out of YVR, a couple off the ships as well as half a dozen RCMP heli's. Plus there's a half dozen military + two RCMP heli's in Whistler. Also two Aurora's flyng shifts. Lot's of noise and aviation fuel. At the least the CF 18's are staying high. Bring them down to the deck abd you'll really have some noise.
