Just curious about the fact that Asian Spa on Douglas is getting good reviews while Half Moon may not be, while their ads are basically identical. Are they just putting their A-team at Douglas because it's more recently opened to promote it better?

ever since Asian spa on Douglas started advertising 50% off for a 4 hands massage all the other parlours panicked and started offering the same deal.
in terms of service, yeah I’d say Asian spa on Douglas is for sure better. Still a bit of a bait and switch place much like half moon. But their service is far more consistent then half moon. Half moon for sure has a couple of people that can offer a decent service. But for the most part in my own experiences at half moon I usually walk out of there with the mentality of why did I attempt to come here again ??
Maybe it’s gotten better recently ? I haven’t gone in at least 3-4 months. That being said I’ve been in Asian spa only 5 times since it’s opened. And found the service pretty average at best.
Cz spa for me has the most consistent service. They’ve missed a few times before, but for the most part I’d say they are on the 80/20 scale. Meaning 80 percent of the time I’m very happy with my service there.
I have been floating around massage parlours for about 6 years going twice a month on average sometimes 3 times. Using the same scale as above I’d rank them as follows.
Cz 80/20
Sunshine/ Bamboo 60/40
Sh spa 40/60
Asian spa 30/70
Half moon 20/80
I agree with Fast and I have been pooning in Victoria since 2002, mix of independent escorts, agencies and Asian spas.
My recollection, though not certain, is that it was Bamboo that started the 2 for 1 specials and annotating this girls pics with their services such as bbbj etc and the others followed. Btw, Bamboo and Sunshine are the same owner and often often same girls. There is also Kanokwan spa on view and the new Cotton spa on Gorge in a sketchy area to keep in mind.
You really should not expect a 9 or even 8/10 experience at a spa though on rare occasions you get lucky. I increase my odds tremendously by going into the room with the girl and privately tell her exactly what I am looking for. If she is not interested, I leave.
Yesterday I saw “New” Thai girl at Asian Spa advertised kissing among other things. Has a fine 7/10 experience at 160/hh and she was happy with that, and so was I.

Competition benefits consumers. They were first to move their base rate down slightly and other shops followed, and don't forget for get your frequent flyer card stamped by Mamasan. The new shop is making waves. They're my first choice rn.

Nice. Maybe I should give that place a whirl again. Haven’t been in awhile. I usually tend to go to independents as of late. It would take far too long to post a scale rating of all the independents I’ve seen. 🤣🤣
but I totally agree with what you said on the fact that don’t ever go into one of these parlours expecting a 10 service. I usually go in with lower expectations as to not hype it up too much before hand.
Tomorrow will be the two week mark. So it’s time to get busy tomorrow. I wonder who i should see 🤔 I wish there was one of these genuine lingham massage places around here. I read a previous post about a place in Vancouver and now I’m dying to try it.
Agree. Halfmoon was a no repeat. I didn't have an overall positive experience at the Asian spa on Douglas. I ended up walking. Several factors came into play. The language barrier was severe. Zero information was provided when I inquired. Names,rates ect... I will try again as the girls are fairly pretty. I'll give them that much.
Not much point booking at Asian spa,they'll give you whoever so just hope you are lucky,walk ins take priority
Its true. I remember walking at one time looking for Luca and they told me while she had an appt with some clown, they said they will just swap barbei on him instead and he will never know! lol. I feel sorry of the poor sap. j/k
Yeah. I figured that much. Reason why I've stuck with Cocha,Wawa & lately Angela. I tried to toftt on a few fronts. I regret that now. Makes me realize how good my usual providers are. With Angela being the exception,she might be leaving in a few weeks :If business is slow for her. She'll sadly be moving back home.
