Thanks for the great link.

But I sometimes find myself disappointed.

I'll click on a dot in a far off land expecting beautiful, exotic music, and they are playing Western pop songs.

At the bottom left...there's a search option. I typed in hard rock LA stations and a galore of stations appealed. Play around with it.

Regarding radio
Got back from a fairly long drive last week and flicking through the FM stations, REALLY really thinking WT flying Fuck is wrong with this city and its absolute shite FM broadcasts and an old friend came on. Stirling Faux (Fox). Remember him? CFOX, CFMI back in the day and I think a stint in Alberta. Probably more as this guy has been around as long as I have!!
Ah, the old days of real DJ's playing the stuff they want, not some playlist created a few thousand miles away ...
But yeah, all the online stuff.

The visual globe interface (with seed planting) is well done.

Seems it filters out the mainstream stations and leaves you with “weird and closet radiobstations). But hey, I am OK with that. We need more splinteristic discovery in life.

I never tended to listen to radio much. They almost never played what I liked in terms of music. Talk radio had its uses, once upon a time, but these days even that has become next to useless.

If someone were to add up the hours of what radio stations I have listened to, I think AM730 traffic would be way ahead of all the others. Driving for a living meant it was a necessity; now that station is gone, which sucks. (Things like Google maps and Waze are just not detailed enough.)

Wanna get weird? Listen to shortwave radio, if you have anything that can receive it.

I don't think there are many 'kids' here who know or care what radio is.

The thirty-somethings on Perb have seemingly always enjoyed listening to CDs while growing up and now streaming Spotify on their Apple Carplay. Personally, I find US radio stations with HD Radio much more enjoyable than any Canadian radio station, probably because in Canada, they're typically owned by the same corporations with very few independents playing the same old shit.

I still occasionally listen to CITR radio. Who remembers the annoying but hard not to listen to Nardwuar?

I never liked Nardwuar. But I do listen to CITR sometimes, since they will play certain genres of music you will not find of the commercial stations.
