I've had a cordless keyboard and mouse for about 6 months now. For the most part the keyboard has been ok, however the mouse is a different story. It doesn't matter what brand, chargeable or not, of AA battery I go through them like there was no tommorrow.

So then, what's best this cordless technology devoted to driving me nuts or the tried and true ever so reliable keyboard and mouse with cords that get all tangled up behind the computer desk?

I have the cordless keyboard. It works well.

The cordless mouse is useless for desktop publishing or games. Plus the battery for the mouse dies easily. Plug in a wired mouse.

Hmmm I am on my second cordless mouse never had probelems with the battery life in the first. It was a logitech and the computer is on all day and the mouse is never shut off so its on 24/7 It would last a couple of months anyways.

I changed it because my wrist was starting to get sore and it was a bit too small for my hand. I got a larger logitech and it has a little charger you can put it in - no more batteries!!!

I would be curious as to which type of mice you have been using.

I have had two cordless mice, a Logitech MX700 and i am now currently using a Logitech MX1000. I haven't had any problems with them, and i keep forgetting to put the mouse on the cradle for days at a time.

So i would be curious to find out which mice you have been having problems with?

Spend some coin and buy one of the high end Logitechs (like the others) so you get the charging base. I have a MX700 from over a year ago now and it works awesome. Games, surfing, etc.....

I bought a cheap BenQ cordless mouse and KB for $30. Used it for a week and dumped it in the closet for a spare. Bought it from NCIX, so you can't really return shit at that place just because you don't like it. But anyways bought a Logitech and as usual it rocks.

PS: stay away from the Microsoft mice IMO, that smooth scroll wheel is fukkin lame.
