On the heels of “The Bachelor” premiere on January 5, 2015 with record breaking ratings, mega producer Mike Fleiss, along with host Chris Harrison just announced that the show would be doing a celebrity special featuring none other than sports illustrated super model Kate Upton.
Right after the major announcement via Twitter and multiple high profile hollywood insiders confirming the rumours, Miek Fleiss also announced that West Kelowna, British Columbia had been selected to host the eleventh season of the Bachelorette.
Fleiss commented that one of the major factors for choosing West Kelowna to host the next season of the Bachelorette was the recent news of the high use of Tinder in the surrounding area and local university.
Kate Upton, a stunningly beautiful 22 year old super model and actress, was recently in the news for denying a marriage proposal from MLB super star Justin Verlander. She is being paid a reported $1.5 million USD for her agreeing to participate in the hit reality series. Kate Upton is one of the youngest ever to appear on the show. For the upcoming season producers have confirmed that they would be looking to cast a younger demographic, and have indicated that recruitment and casting calls would be held at both Okanagan College and UBC Okanagan seeking out males in the 20 to 28 year age range.
Construction of the set has already begun in an undisclosed area in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, and casting calls are being held in the following months to look for suitable male counterparts. With the big announcement, the economic impact to the surrounding area is estimated to be nearly two billion dollars.
