help with housecall/trendmicro...and my MSN

For the last 2 days I've been trying to clean my hard drive up.... Trend micro tends to get stuff that my usual virus software doesn't get. So I run it about once a week or so, but it's been a while since Ive used it.

They have changed their interface, which this is my first time using the new style. Anyway, Ive done the scans and clicked all appropriate boxes, but when it seems to be finished it hangs up at ' preparing '

Now, I'm not the most patient of creatures, but in this case I have been. I've let the window stay open for well over an hour but the ' preparing ' doesn't do anything.

Any help would be seriously appreciated as it seems I have tons of bad things on my hard drive. and my msn is broken, which on so many levels is just wrong.

okay it finally finished ...

But my msn is still broken.

I have now deleted all my msn history and all my emtions but it's still broken.

What do I do

Let me say this about TM. The last time I used the usless thing at a friends house it was a total POS. Didn't even get to the scanning part just kept asking me what kernal I wanted to use. WTF I was like who fukkin cars just start scanning.

I ended up going over to Panda Active Scan, another good online scanner.

Do you have a legit copy of Windows XP that you can go in and get all the updates?? If so just make sure your up to date and run your own antivirus and you should be good to go.

yes I have a legit copy of Windows XP, and I have all the updates, as I checked this morning.

Are youe using Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger?? Did you try uninstalling re-installing Messenger?
