Help Reformat my Hard drive

Stick the win XP cd in the drive and start up the computer and follow the instructions and at the critical juncture choose format.
Don't forget to disconect from the internet first. Hope you downloaded your M/B drivers, antivirus and SP1 and SP2 before you formatted.
Hmmmm.....now I can't friggen well remember if you need SP1 in, or if you can just go straight to Sp2 from original XP.

Nope, don't need SP1. You can go direct to SP2 but having the updated drivers installed before updating to SP2 will be required.
I found the best way to install SP2 is from CD. Microsoft will send the CD to you for free but it takes about 2 weeks to get to you.
Other than that, just follow the instructions when you boot with your XP cd.

(Insert stupid noise from Uncle Bill's House of Horrors and Microslop Siftware Co.) Not meaning to sound critical, but I now recognize myself as an expert on the format :c /all command since I have installed Windows XP Pro. The other name for this software platform," Where the hell do all the disgruntled ex-Microsoft engineers go" was in fact a little too lengthy to put on the box, even though the size of the carton suggests that there may be something inside than a tiny bit of over-priced software. Sorry, I just had to release a little non-positive energy.
You will require SP 1 prior to SP2, but it will fill in, in a transparent to the end user style. I highly recommend from Download.com: Ad Aware se 6.0 Personal crap catching program; Spybot 1.3 (sans frills) secondary crap-catching program; and the required updates from Microsoft without, however,enabling the auto update feature unless of course U have even more time on your hanz than I do-do. Next Pleeez pay attention here, ensure that you have seriously ( at least considered) running Firefox (Mozilla product) and are not now or ever have been one of them there masochists who enjoys all the pop-ups you receive from the fine folks (read in money-grubbing #%&*ards) at Microsoft's MSN homely page. Now before you can get up and proceed to the next level (The True Happy Dance) I fell it only fare (not misspelt...play on words) to tell you the price for this high level of headache reduction/P.C. destuction. Can U say FREEE!
