Help! I can't read my email!

I think I screwed something up on my computer bigtime.... I deleted a bunch of programs the other day and ran a 'defrag' for the first time to clean up my computer, and now I can't read my hotmail. My browser works, but certain webpages, (like hotmail for instance), appear white when I try to view them. I've tried re-installing the browser, restoring my deleted files, resetting my internet settings to default, no luck. What do I do?

Do a system restore in windows xp back to when it all still worked.

Worse comes to worst, you can always reformat.

This system restore thing doesn't seem to be working for me... I don't know how to reset it back to a date... it keeps asking me for "backup files" that I don't have...

How do you reformat?

Reformat.

Put xp disk in cdrom.

Restart computer.

You may have to go into bios at startup and change the cdrom to the primary disk.

Or, you may see a sentence on black screen saying "press any key to boot from disc"

Press any key. Follow the instructions.
